60 Minutes CECOT Full Interview

I didn't anticipate my first post on brians.life to be a story about a retracted 60 Minutes segment, but I feel it's in the public interest, so here we are...

This is the full segment of the CECOT interview. It was scheduled to air on the December 21, 2025, episode. However, it was reportedly pulled it at the last minute by Bari Weiss, citing the need for "additional reporting".

Sharyn Alfonsi, who reported for the story, called the decision "political" and wrote in a private note to colleagues, “Our story screened five times and cleared by both CBS attorneys and Standards and Practices.”

Though the segment was removed from Sunday's episode in the United States, it aired in Canada on Global TV. Considering the rapidly evolving immigration situation in the United States and those in my network of family and friends who are directly affected, this is newsworthy. The public should decide if the segment is ready for primetime.
